In this video, I show you how to cook easy Kimchi Fried Rice. The best part of my Kimchi Fried Rice is that it's a one pot meal recipe. My delicious kimchi fried rice recipe is listed below: 2-3 slices of center cut bacon 1/2 cup kimchi, chopped 2 TBS kimchi juice 1/4 yellow onion, chopped 1/2 green onion, sliced thinly 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tsp Korean hot pepper flakes (gochugaru) 1 TBS Korean pepper paste (gochujang) 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 1 egg 1 1/2 tsp cooking oil (reserve 1/2 tsp to cook egg) 1 1/2 cup rice Sesame seeds Directions: 1) Slice bacon into small pieces and cook on medium heat. (Do not discard bacon fat). 2) Add onion and garlic when bacon is cooked and stir until fragrant. 3) Add 1 tsp cooking oil into pan. 4) Add in chopped kimchi and kimchi juice and stir. 5) Mix Korean red pepper paste (gochujang) and soy sauce together and add to the kimchi and juice. 6) Add rice and mix until incorporated. 7) Add Korean pepper flakes (gochugaru) and mix. 8) Add sesame oil and mix. 9) Make a hole in the middle of pan and add remaining cooking oil. 10) Crack an egg in the middle and cook until your desired taste/preference of egg style. 11) When the egg is cooked, turn off stove. Add sesame seeds and green onions on top.
